Remote Recording

Bennett Studios is now offering location audio services in both recording and mixing for live performance TV and DVD. Dae Bennett has over 20 experience in this field which recently culminated with his winning of an Emmy Award in 2007 in the category of “Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety or Music Series or Special” for his work on the NBC TV special “Tony Bennett - An American Classic”. In 2007 he also mixed the score for Robert Duvall’s Emmy winning “Broken Trail” scored by David Mansfield and Van Dyke Parks. This is just the tip of the iceberg of Dae Bennett’s career in this segment of the audio field. Recent credits also include no less than 10 consecutive years recording and mixing the “Newport Jazz Festival” for JVC/PBS, mixing Franz Ferdinand for MTV, Trey Anistasio at Red Rocks for DVD, and live broadcast mixing for Jay-Z in Memphis for Showtime. His past credits also include working with some of the “Greats” in show business such as Rosemary Clooney, Mel Torme, Johnny Mathis, Petula Clark, and many more. As you can see, his credits and experience run the gambit of musical genres over many years providing directors and producers the experience and technical expertise required for such high profile work.

Our location and mix for picture services can take on many forms and be packaged to the specific needs of your project. This includes Dae Bennett as engineer only or with his 64 channel flight-ready Pro-Tools HD rig providing a cost effective engineer/equipment package ready to go anywhere quality recording is needed.

Bennett Studios now offers Video production services from shoot to post production and DVD authoring. We can produce video from large format theatrical productions to guerilla style shoots of your artists playing live in a club anywhere in the country. Many video producers also love to use our North Studio as a location for shooting music being performed live.

In 2007 film maker Robert Levi used the North Studio to shoot and record the award winning documentary of Billy Strayhorn “The Lush Life” for PBS. Other clients include Hudson Music, QVC, ABC News, and many others.
