Chiara Civello

Chiara Civello is an artist who’s accomplishments seem to grow exponentially year in and year out as a singer, songwriter and musician.  She was in to record her new CD for Universal, “The Space Between” in our North Studio with acclaimed producer Steve Addabbo and the incredibly talented Pete Rende as musical director. Pete also played keyboards, co-produced, and lent an expert hand in engineering (is there something he doesn’t do?).  In addition to Pete, Chiara turned to other friends to play on the album, including Ben Street (Danilo Perez, Kurt Rosenwinkel, David Sanchez, Paul Motian) on bass, Tony Mason (Norah Jones, Joan Osborne, Bo Diddley) on drums, Guilherme Monteiro (Elian Elias, Lila Downs, Joao Bosco, Slide Hampton) on guitar, and Mauro Refosco (Lounge Lizards, David Byrne, Bebel Gilberto) on percussion and Tony Sherr (Bill Frisell, Willie Nelson, Lounge Lizards, Sex Mob).  Well, with this lineup it would be hard to miss and guess what…..they don’t.  It’s killin’ from top to bottom.  To find out more and to see a video shot in the North Studio during the recording of “Night” go here: www.chiaracivello.com  .
