Maximum Max!

THE MAXES were in Bennett Studios' NORTH ROOM recently with producer JEFF EYRICH. Call it New York roots music with a side order of blues 'n' rockabilly. This New York-based group performs a hot mix of toe-tappin' tunes headed up by the dueling divas Josh Max and Julie James. On this particular session, the band recorded all classics, written Josh's great uncle, Al Hoffman - "Two to Tango," "Heartaches," "Who Walks In When I Walk Out," "Close To You," "Fit As a Fiddle," "You Meet the Nicest People In Your Dreams." Musicians were Josh Max - guitar and lead vocals, Julie james - lead and harmony vocals, Rich Zukor - drums, Sean Smith - bass, Jon-Erik Kellso - trumpet, Dan Levinson - clarinet, alto sax and J. Walter Hawkes - trombone. DAVE KOWALSKI handled the recording, mixing and mastering chores.
