The North Studio is the largest of the onsite recording areas at Bennett Studios. We've transformed the original waiting room of the train station into a spacious 25' X 47' studio along with three additional dedicated iso booths. The Andy Munro designed acoustical treatments are beautifully hidden behind the Victorian paneled walls and ceilings to provide world-class acoustics perfect for recording all styles of the performing arts. The grand old windows face west exposing the trees of Depot Park and colorful sunsets.  The acoustics and atmosphere of the North Room are perfect for large and small ensemble album production or scoring as well as being a great camera-ready location for shooting performance or in-session video.

The North control room is equipped with a Neve VR60 console with Flying Faders(tm) automation.  A comfortable control room with private lounge, it includes a great compliment of outboard gear and is integrated with either Pro-tools / Apogee 8000 or HD systems.  Either system can be locked to and used in conjunction with Flying Faders(tm) console automation.
With all machines and hardware extended away in the machine room, the system can be silently operated from the center listening position on either the 17" flat panel LCD or 42" plasma multi function displays.  Both displays can be switched instantly between multiple VGA and video sources including automation screens and video from the iso booths or theater.  The private lounge can also double as an additional iso booth or video control room for location shooting.

Because of the open-ended architecture in our central machine room,
this versatile control room can be quickly configured for:

* Album recording and mixing
* Audio for video post-production and mixing
* Soundtrack scoring
* Live performance broadcast via ISDN
* Use as a location for shooting performance video * Live performance recording or broadcast via the Bergen Performing Arts Center
