|  The South Studio is equipped with an 80 channel SSL 4080 G+ with total recall and Ultimation. Designed primarily as a mixing room, the high channel count also makes it ideal for recording or broadcasting large format projects and full orchestra via our fiber optic connection to the BPAC theater. The Control room includes speaker systems for near field, mid field, and Augsperger designed speakers coupled with 18" Dynaudio Subwoofers for high level listening. There is also a studio area large enough for piano with two isolation booths, one large enough for drums to allow trio/quartet recording as well as overdubs or sweetening for video. A spacious 20'x25' control room with private lounge, it includes a great compliment of outboard gear and is integrated with either Pro-Tools /Apogee 8000 or HD systems.
With all machines and hardware extended away in the machine room, the system can be silently operated from the center listening position on either the 17" flat panel LCD or 42" LCD multi function displays. All DAW systems can be locked to and used in conjunction with the SSL’s Ultimation™. Both displays can be switched instantly between multiple VGA and video sources including automation screens and video from the theater. Because of the open-ended architecture in our central machine room, this versatile control room can be quickly configured for:
- Album recording and mixing
- Audio for video post-production and mixing
- Promotional radio broadcast over ISDN
- Live performance recording or broadcast via the Bergen Performing Arts Center or onsite studios
